Megeve

Megève is well-known due its popularity as a ski resort near Mont-Blanc in the French Alps. Established as a resort by Baroness de Rothschild in 1916 it has become very chic with wonderful gourmet restaurants and luxury hotels. It is also a perfect family destination that has, unlike many ski resorts, retained its local French essence and atmosphere.

Megève is ideally located as it is only an hour’s drive from Geneva airport. It is situated in the foothills of the Mont Blanc massif, close to Chamonix and the Mont Blanc Tunnel, which is the gateway to Italy and the Aosta Valley.

Megève has a significant ski area of 325 km of ski slopes served by 80 ski lifts. The most demanding kiers who will curb all the routes of Megève may enjoy additional 700 km of traces including famous “skiing on ice” in the village of Chamonix which is only half an hour away. The greatness of the highest mountain in Europe – Mont Blanc will not leave anyone indifferent right at the height of 4808 m. The village is exactly what one would look for in a ski resort: a picture postcard central square with horse drawn carriages waiting to take you on a tour along the cobbled streets; old wooden chalets dominated by a church that dates back to the 13th Century and plenty of chic boutiques with all the trappings of elegance and class.
